Kindness Club

On behalf of the Poland Middle School Kindness Club, sixth grade student Sophia Jones made a difference in so many lives. She imagined a fundraiser to support the Akron Children's Hospital through their Change Maker program by asking middle school students to donate toys and funds. She recruited friends from Kindness Club to create posters and flyers, leading to an outpouring of support that amounted to an $850 donation and multiple bags full of toys for the hospital! Thank you, Sophia, for being an outstanding model of what it means to take care of our community. Thank you, Mrs. Butch & Mr. Purins, for supporting this fundraiser. Thank you to all who donated!

The members of our Poland Middle School Kindness Club teamed up with the PSHS Interact Club to create care package bags for our local police officers! To thank the Poland Village & Poland Township Police Department for their service to the school district, students wrote cards and worked together to fill bags full of goodies! Mrs. and Mr. Martin even got treats for the K-9 units! Thank you, local police!

In a yearly tradition, our middle school Kindness Club members quickly got to work making tie-knot blankets to warm up our community and those in need! We are so proud of their efforts in small groups to make about 20 blankets to donate.

Poland Local Schools Pawsitive Leaders and Kindness Club have partnered with Poland Village Police - School Resource Officer Mel for a great cause: Pull Together for Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMDH)! From now until the end of the school year, we will be collecting aluminum can tabs or 'pop tabs.' Please feel free to send your child in with collected tabs in Ziplock bags, plastic containers, cups, etc. There will be smaller collection bins in both offices as well as the cafeteria, there will be an extra-large bin near Officer Mel’s desk for larger quantities.

Kindness Club is back and better than ever! The fourth graders got festive today, creating holiday ornaments and greeting cards to send to local nursing homes. The Bulldogs want to spread some cheer and love to our community members, and as the holidays near, it was a perfect way to take care of our community!
